The Sir James McNeill Postgraduate Research Scholarship (SJMN) was created in honor of the late Sir James McNeill, who had a long relationship with Monash University and is supported by a private trust. The prestigious scholarship provides financial support to students pursuing their education at Monash University, ensuring they can cover their living expenses. Moreover, it offers an opportunity to conduct research that aligns with ethical principles, both socially and environmentally.

Melbourne, Australia’s Monash Institution is a public research institution. The second-oldest university in the State of Victoria, Sir John Monash, was established in 1958 and is named after a renowned World War I general. The institution has several campuses, including one in Malaysia and four in Victoria (Clayton, Caulfield, Peninsula, and Parkville). Graduate research schools can be found in Mumbai, India, Suzhou, China, and Prato, Italy, where Monash also operates a research and teaching campus. South Africa is one of the several countries where Monash University courses are available.
