Reporters Without Borders Berlin Scholarship 2024 (fully funded)

Great News! The Reporters Without Borders Berlin Scholarship 2024 (fully funded) offers journalists from conflict zones the chance to visit Berlin. The Berlin Senate Department for Economics provides funding for the program, which tackles cybersecurity threats.

The six-month, fully funded Reporters Without Borders Germany Fellowship is available to reporters. While residing in Berlin, all reporters chosen for this program will be required to finish a course on digital security. The goal of the Scholarship Program 2024 is to arm fellow participants with the information and abilities they need to defend themselves against online dangers, including hacker attacks, surveillance, and obstructions to their journalistic endeavors. Journalists participating in a Berlin exchange program will receive professional development training from experts in fundamental skills. Additionally, they will collaborate with international reporters.

Participants in the Reporters Without Borders fellowship program will create their own training concept with the help of the trainer team. They can then share their newly acquired knowledge to train other reporters or colleagues in their home countries. This allows journalists who are not part of the fellowship program to benefit from the digital security skills taught in the Reporters Without Borders program. Six six-month scholarships are available through the Reporters Without Borders Berlin Scholarship Program 2024 for journalists from conflict and crisis zones.
