Her Majesty, who moved to remove her favorite son from royal duties, was spotted posing with the Duke of York the day after the official announcement.

In one photo op, the Queen was seen riding horses with Andrew at Windsor Castle.

Royal writer Gilles Brandreth writes: “Prince Andrew stepped down from public life in 2019 over his friendship with ‘billionaire pedophile’ Jeffrey Epstein.

“He was stripped of his honorary military roles, including colonel of the Grenadier Guards, and forced to abandon his HRH style in public.”

But his mother stood by him. She loved her boy. She kept her ‘trust’ in him.

“That said, her reputation was clouded, and the queen was a realist. She basically banished her own son,” he noted.
