- The following sub-specialties will accept applications for research projects: Glaucoma, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Retina, Tumours, Uveitis, Dry Eye, and Cornea.
- A copy of the test that you need to pass to become an ophthalmic specialist.
- The applicant must speak the language of the fellowship training center quite well.
- The applicant must be under 40 at the time of application.

Applicants must follow the following procedures to apply for the ICO fellowship:
- If you don’t already have one, you must create an ICO Account.
- The ICO Fellowship(s) you are eligible for will appear after you specify your nation.
- In order to determine your eligibility for the particular ICO Fellowship, information needs to require.
- Once your information has been submitted to the ICO, your eligibility will be reviewed. If you are not qualified, you will be informed of the outcome and asked to complete the application.
- You should choose and apply to a host training center if you are qualified. Attention: You may only submit an application to one host at a time.
- The host you’ve chosen will examine your request. If accepted, you will need to verify the specifics that you and the host agreed upon. You must choose another host if your request is denied.
- When your fellowship application is submitted, you will receive notification that it has been received and will be considered by the relevant ICO Fellowship Committee.
