Helen Skelton has opened up about her tough days, admitting she ‘feels like a different person since taking part’ Dance hard. After splitting from ex-husband Richie Myler earlier this year.
The 39-year-old television presenter became emotional during Saturday’s episode of the show before taking to the dance floor to perform a samba with her professional partner Gorka Marquez, 32.
She told Twinkle Toad star Gorka how her father Richard said she looked like herself again after she gave her ‘best performance’ at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom last week.
Helen said: ‘He just looked at me and said ‘you look like you again’ and I’m definitely different to when we started.’
He asked Gorka: ‘I think you’d say I’m a different man from day one, right?’
Helen was devastated in April this year when Richie, who she married in 2013, moved out of the family home just months after giving birth to their third child in December.
Rugby player Richie is now expecting his first child with girlfriend Stephanie Thurkle, daughter of the millionaire chairman of Leeds Rhinos.
On how her tough performances have helped her, Helen told the Mirror: ‘I’m definitely having a good time, I just want to get off the dance floor every week with a smile on my face.
